What we want to achieve
The Lister Alliance’s mission is to embed digital technologies seamlessly across the NHS. Through our health innovation programme, we work with NHS Trusts to create Living Labs, demonstrating new ways to deliver accessible, efficient, and personalised healthcare.
How we support the NHS
The NHS is in crisis. And yet, it is not set-up to reap the benefits of technology for patients, practitioners, and providers. Here’s where we can support: by taking a new approach to digital technology in healthcare. By starting from the bottom-up, we ensure healthcare outcomes aren’t compromised by bottlenecks, unwieldy manual processes, or difficult-to-find data. Our activity is aligned to the UK government’s New Hospital Programme, supporting its ambition to create “intelligent hospitals” which use technology to make practitioners’ lives easier and to improve outcomes for patients such as improved recovery rates.
We work closely with NHS Trust leaders, integrated care systems (ICS’) and the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries, drawing on their expertise and experience to drive transformation in a complex environment and power inclusive healthcare for all. Working closely with these partners is crucial to ensure any deployments serve the needs of people who encounter and use the technology on a day-to-day basis.
The Lister Alliance is an innovation programme developed and funded by Cisco’s Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) initiative. Working with government leaders across the globe, CDA aims to build sustainable, secure, and inclusive communities powered by ethical and innovative technology solutions. In the UK, the programme aligns with the government’s drive to transform the public sector with digital technology.
